Expatrio blocked account refund

I recently got a refusal from German University for my study visa application. I would like to refund my blocked account amount, but I need to know the refund policy. Additionally, tell me how much money will be deducted from my blocked account after getting a refusal ?

You can apply for a refund from Expatrio if your visa application is rejected or you decide to withdraw your visa application. Follow the below-given procedure to get your refund if your visa is rejected:

  1. You need to request to close a blocked account by completing the Expatrio Contact Form, using ''Blocked account closing'' as a request category.
  2. In the next step, you must provide your documents via Expatrio User Portal and submit your visa rejection letter and bank account details.
  3. After completing the documentation, click on send option.
  4.  You must pay a refund fee of €109 to Expatrio and get the amount of €11,208 to your Account. The program fee & monthly fee is non-refundable.
  5. But, if you decide to withdraw your visa application, email the German Embassy to request 'Sperrfreigabe' to return your funds. (a Sperrfreigabe is a document from a German embassy or foreign office stating that we can close your Blocked Account)

So you will get a blocked account amount of €11,208 and a small sum of buffer amount to the same Account through which earlier you transferred the amount. Expatrio will initiate your refund within four weeks.
