How to activate the Canadian SIM Card ?

Indeed it is an excellent question. Many students don't read the proper instructions and try to activate and use a Canadian sim in India without knowing it would cause high roaming charges. So, to avoid these high roaming charges, students should activate their Canadian sim only after reaching Canada. 

To activate their sim automatically, students must mention their arrival date in Canada while registering for the sim. This process will help the students to avoid the hassle of roaming charges. 

To apply for the Canadian SIM Card, please follow the steps:

1. Open the Sim Card Application Form.
2. Fill in all the necessary details and the shipping address.
3. You will receive the sim card within 3-5 days after registration.
4. Once students receive the sim card and phone number, they must insert it into their mobile only after reaching Canada. 

Please note, SIM Cards provided outside of VFS may not be activated, so might not work on arrival in Canada. To make sure, your SIM Card will be activated on arrival in Canada, please fill the above mentioned form again and enter your SIM Card number.
