What is the Germany blocked account amount for international students in 2023 ?
From 1st January 2023, German banks have brought a few changes in the annual amount that international students must pay before arriving in Germany. Before the changes, students had to pay €10,332 yearly and got €861 monthly installment to cover their living expenses. But from 1st January 2023, the annual amount was increased by 8.5%, as a student has to deposit €11208 before going to Germany. When you land in Germany, the bank will give you online options for determining the bank to activate your Current account. You will get various choices with offers to start your Current account only if you select Expatrio, Fintiba, Coracle, RemitX or ICICI bank for the blocked account. Still, suppose you decide to choose a bank among Coracle/Remitx. In that case, you must visit the bank and select the option to open a Current account by yourself, as both banks will not give you any options for choosing a reasonable bank. After account activation, the bank will release €934 every month throughout the first year of your studies. To open your Blocked account without hassle, you can reach out to the Abroad Cube team. They will help you open your account at no additional charge.
