Work restrictions for international students in USA?

I got an education loan through Abroad Cube, and I am going to the USA. Can I work full-time while studying in USA, and what are the work restrictions for international students, is there a way to get a job before reaching there, I am little worried to pay education loan EMI on time?

Congratulations, to get funding for your dreams, best of luck for your new journey USA is best country to plan bright future.

Here is the breakdown –

On-Campus - You can work up to 20 hours per week during semester, and full time 40 hours per week during vacations. The type of job role depends on availability and personal skills. However, most of Universities have Job Roles related to library assistant, research assistant, teacher assistant etc.

Off-Campus (Restricted) - You cannot work off-campus in the first year. But after one year, you may consider applying for: CPT (Curricular Practical Training) - for internship related to your studies only. General Work outside campus is NOT allowed.

How to find a job before reaching the USA - Many universities have job listings for on-campus work, so you can apply before arrival to secure a position early, Or if you are in STEM fields, you can approach professors through Email, and can ask if they have paid research assistant positions.

Last but not least, you can build network with current students through Facebook groups, Telegram groups or LinkedIn groups, etc.

Let me explain that in simple and short: As an F-1 student in the USA, you can work up to 20 hours per week on campus during the semester and full time during breaks. Off-campus work is not allowed without authorization. You can apply for CPT (Curricular Practical Training).

How to get a job before arriving - on-campus work, approach professors through Email, can do Freelance, also explore Social media to build relations with senior students.

Managing EMI Payments - Jobs will help you to cover your daily expenses. Research and teaching assignments may cover tuition or provide a stipend; look for scholarships and grants to reduce the loan burdens.
