Correction in TOEFL Account profile after Exam Booking ?

I booked my TOEFL iBT Home Edition exam a few days ago and later on realized that there was a typo in my first name. How should I proceed with corrections ? I have one week pending in the exam.

Don't worry, having a minor Typo or a missing middle name in the TOEFL Account Profile is a standard error for many test-takers. There is a minor procedure you have to complete to rectify the mistake and smoothly attempt your TOEFL Exam. If the profile information does not match with the Passport on the Exam Day, you will not be allowed to attempt the test. The Test Appointment will be considered Cancelled without any refund. 

Step by Step for Correction in the TOEFL Account Profile

  1. Log in to your TOEFL Account and Copy the ETS ID.
  2. Write an Email and enter your Corrected Name, DOB and Other personal information. Mention your registered Email Address, Phone Number, ETS ID and attach a scanned copy of your Passport. 
  3. Send the Email to TOEFLSupport4India@ets.org if you are from India or TOEFLsupport4Korea@ets.org if you are from South Korea, or toefl@ets.org for all other Countries from your registered Email Address. 
  4. Wait for 1-2 working days, and it will be rectified in your ETS TOEFL profile. 

Please attach a copy of your Passport and send the Email from a Registered Email address for faster resolution. 

Please note that you are required to complete the process at least three working days before your TOEFL Test Appointment. In most cases, we observed that the ETS Support Team rectify the corrections the same day.
