Here is the Step-by-Step procedure you can expect on the Appointment Day at the Test Center.
The Pearson PTE requires that your profile information, such as First Name, Last Name, Gender, and Date of Birth, must match your Passport character-by-character on the PTE Exam day. Any discrepancy in information will lead to Exam Cancellation without any refund or reschedule. Ensure to enter the First Name and Last Name exactly as they appear on the passport. Still, there are some scenarios where test-takers make a mistake while typing.
To correct your profile information before the Scheduled Appointment of the PTE Exam, you have to either call or email the Pearson PTE Customer Support Team and share with them a scanned copy of your passport. It is recommended to start the procedure for correction at least 3 days before the scheduled exam date. It may take up to 24 Hours to get an update on your request. Unfortunately, there is no option available to correct your profile information on the Exam Day.
Based on thousands of PTE Exam Registrations, we came across some common mistakes made by test-takers that result in losing the PTE Exam Fees and Time. Check out the common mistakes and avoid them for a smooth experience.
Incorrect Profile Information: As per the policy of Pearson PTE, the First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Gender must match the Original Passport exactly. Even a single character mistake is not acceptable. Please double-check your profile information carefully and report any discrepancy immediately to the PTE Support Team for correction.
Expired or Cancelled Passport: You must carry your Original and Valid Passport on your PTE Appointment day. In case your Passport has expired or is undergoing a renewal procedure, you must wait till you receive your Passport in hand before booking your PTE Appointment. Any additional ID, such as an Aadhar Card or Voter ID, or a photocopy of a Passport, is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Wrong Appointment Date: Always book your PTE Exam Appointment once you are fully prepared and ready to attempt the exam. PTE does not offer any refund or reschedule if you have less than 7 days available in your PTE Exam Scheduled Appointment.
There can be possible reasons, such as a Medical or Road Closure, which leads to a missed PTE Exam Appointment. Check out the steps you have to take in those scenarios and apply for the ReSchedule Waiver.
Medical Reasons: In case you missed your PTE Exam Appointment due to any medical reason, you have to submit a scanned copy of your Passport, Appointment details, and a Doctor's Note. The Report must have the Hospital Name, Doctor Name, Complete Address with Pincode & City Name, Contact Number, and the Stamp-Signature of the Doctor. The Report must be printed or written on the Official Letterhead of the Hospital.
Road Closure: In case you were not able to reach the PTE Test Center on the Appointment day due to unforeseen reasons, such as Road Closure leading to the Test Center, you have to drop an Email to Pearson PTE Customer Support with your appointment details, scanned copy of Passport, and verifiable evidence such as a NewsPaper, or an online article from a reputed agency.
Next Steps: Once satisfied with the submitted information and evidence, and receiving approval from the concerned team, Customer Support will issue you a Voucher Code which can be used for a PTE Appointment on any future date. The Submission of any false report will lead to a permanent ban from future PTE Exam Appointments.
While creating an account on the Pearson PTE website or booking the PTE Exam Appointment, some students face some common technical errors. Here are the Common Errors and their resolutions.
Duplicate Account: The Pearson PTE throws you an error of Duplicate account if you create multiple accounts based on the same information, such as Name and DOB, even with different email addresses. To resolve this error, proceed with the account merger by entering the OTP received on your previous Email address. The error will be resolved without any assistance from the Customer Support team in most cases. Still, if you are facing any further errors, you have to contact Customer Support via Call.
Stuck at Booking Under Process: If you close the window incorrectly while booking your PTE Exam, you may face an error where the system does not allow you to continue and asks you to complete the previous booking with no option. To book your PTE Exam Appointment in such a scenario, log out of your Pearson PTE account and wait for at least 1 hour before placing a new order. The PTE system will auto-cancel your previous order and let you book your appointment again.
Account Block: In specific scenarios, the Pearson automatically blocks the test-taker's account due to fraudulent behavior based on multiple failed payment attempts. To get your account unblocked and resume with the PTE Exam Booking process, you have to call the Pearson PTE Customer Support team, provide them with the required information, and they will unblock the account.
