To be eligible for the PTE exam in India, you must be 16 years old and hold a valid passport. Also, there are no minimum academic criteria required to be eligible. Please note only a Passport is acceptable as Identity proof.
Since the PTE exam is a language proficiency exam, there are no minimum score criteria to pass out the exam. However, universities and immigration authorities have a different set of requirements.
Earlier, the PTE is only accepted by Australian Universities and Immigration, but it is slowly gaining more acceptance worldwide. Many universities and immigration authorities from the United Kingdom, Canada, the USA, Germany, and New Zealand have started accepting PTE scores. From 10th August 2023, it is acceptable by IRCC, Canada, for Study Visa applications under the SDS program. The minimum overall score to be eligible for Study Visa under SDS program is 60.
