Steps to register for TOEFL Exam in India

1. Applicants have to create an ETS account and log in to the account on the official website of TOEFL.
2. You are required to select the exam date as a calendar of the exam date is mentioned on the official site of the TOEFL.
3. After selecting your exam date, you need to book your nearest test centre as everything will be provided to you at the centre. Still, you have to carry your original passport at the examination centre.
4. Once you choose the date and centre, you have to pay the examination fee through a Credit/debit card, UPI, Net-Banking Voucher, etc. You should check your details twice before transferring the payment for their exam.
5. When you successfully pay the examination fee, the ETS will issue you an acknowledgement letter, and you have to print it out and carry it with them to the test centre on your test date.

Please note, your registration details must match your passport. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to sit in the exam, and the examination fee shall not be refunded.

TOEFL Exam Fees

In India, the TOEFL iBT exam fee is Rs 16,900, which can be paid in INR, compared to earlier, when you had to pay in USD.

Methods of Payment

Now, you can pay your Exam Registration, Exam Rescheduling, Additional Score Reports, and Speaking & Writing Review fees in Indian Rupees and through widely accepted payment methods such as Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, NetBanking, and Wallets. Moreover, you can also make payment using Voucher purchased through reputed platforms such as Abroad Cube.

Documents to carry on TOEFL exam date

Here is the list of documents you are required to carry on your exam date at the TOEFL Test Centre

1. Original passport
2. Acknowledgment Letter

Please note you are not required to carry personal stationary or water bottle as they provide it.

Rescheduling & Cancellation TOEFL Test

To reschedule or cancel your TOEFL exam, you must request it at least 4 days before the exam date. To reschedule, you must pay an additional Rs 5900 as Test Rescheduling charges before booking the new exam date. For cancellation, you will receive only a 50% refund of the exam fees paid, and the rest will be retained for processing your registration and holding your seat at the Test Center. If you request rescheduling or cancellation within 4 days of your exam date, you will not receive any refund.

If your exam is rescheduled or cancelled by ETS for any reason, you are eligible for a Free reschedule or Full Refund.

Here is the process of Rescheduling and Cancellation of TOEFL exam

1. Open the ETS website
2. Login using the registered Email address and Mobile number
3. Choose your upcoming exam from the list and click on it.
4. Click on Reschedule or Cancellation, depending on your decision.
5. If you click 'Reschedule Appointment', you will be asked to choose the new exam date, pay the rescheduling fees and book a new appointment.
6. If you click 'Cancel Appointment', you have to confirm your cancellation, and you will receive a refund within a few working days.

Retaking TOEFL Test

The test-taker can retake the TOEFL exam as many times as they wish, but students cannot take the exam more than once in 3 days as per the rules and regulations of ETS. If the candidates are already registered for the exam, they cannot book again in 3 days. After 3 days, students can take as much as they can.
