5 German Universities with APS Waiver: Exemption from APS Certificate Requirement

Starting 1st November 2022, the German Embassy in India began requiring an APS certificate to decrease the visa processing time and enhance the document screening time. Under the proposed system, the German Embassy outsourced the Academic Document Verification to APS, an organization managed by the German Government. The student has to apply for an APS Certificate and submit the required documents. The Agency verified the documents and issued the certificate needed for a University Admissions and Study Visa. The APS Certification takes 4-5 weeks to be issued, delaying the admission and visa process. 

All German public universities and some private universities require an APS Certificate for admission and the subsequent visa process, but there are some exempted universities that are headquartered outside Germany but have a campus in Germany, which exempts them from the requirement of an APS Certificate and eases the application process.

Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI)

The Berlin School of Business and Innovation, commonly referred to as BSBI, has campuses in Berlin and Hamburg. Likewise, other Universities have programs starting in October, February, and May. The tuition fee is quite nominal and ranges between €7500 and €9900 per year. Most of the programs have a study duration of 18-24 months. They have more than 38 programs, but their programs related to Business are quite popular. 

EU Business School

The EU Business School is famous for its MBA and Bachelor of Science programs. It has one campus in Munich, and tuition fees range between €15,600 and €21,900 annually. Master's programs last 12-24 months, while Bachelor's programs last 36 months. To accommodate most international and domestic students, the school has programs starting in August, October, February, and June. 

Lancaster University

Lancaster University is one of the most famous universities in Germany, with a campus in Leipzig. Starting in October and January, it offers more than 17 programs related to Master of Science in Engineering majors. However, their tuition fees are higher, starting at €23,500, compared to other universities in Germany. Their main campus is in the United Kingdom, with a QS World Ranking of #141.

New European College

New European College has a campus in Munich and offers more than 11 programs related to specializations in MBA. It partners with Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences to offer programs starting in September, October, December, February, March, and May. The annual tuition fee is €12,200, and most programs are completed within 12 months. 

Arden University

Arden University is a United Kingdom-based university having an off-shore campus in Berlin. Having a good reputation in the United Kingdom and Germany, they have more than 23 programs starting in September, November, February and May. Their popular programs are related to Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in different streams of Management and Science, with annual tuition fees ranging between €15,000 and €16,500.
