According to the ETS TOEFL iBT website, the test fees for South Korean students are USD 228, equivalent to KRW 316,275 for both the TOEFL iBT Test Centre and Home Edition. The Fee includes applicable taxes, and it must be paid online on the TOEFL iBT website to book the test appointment at least one day in advance. The TOEFL charges an express fee of USD 49 for booking a test date within the next 7 days. Other than that, there are fixed charges for Cancellation, Rescheduling, Score Reporting and Express Result. To register for the TOEFL Test in South Korea, you have to complete the following simple registration process.




The TOEFL test centres are located in major cities of South Korea, including Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, Jeonju, Yongin-si, and Asan. There are more than 20 TOEFL Exam Centres in South Korea. Each Test Center has 1-4 dates available in a month. The test center has only a 09:30 AM or 10:00 AM test slot available. The test centers located outside Seoul have only Sunday available for the exam.

The ETS offers two versions of the TOEFL iBT test: TOEFL Home Edition and TOEFL at Test Centre. As the name suggests, in TOEFL Home Edition, you can take the test from the comfort of your place; however, in a Test Centre, you have to visit the designated test centre to attempt the exam. The content of both exams is identical, but some Universities or Immigration departments do not accept Home Edition for security reasons. The acceptability of the Home Edition is increasing among Universities as TOEFL works towards more secure policies and reduces the chance of cheating.

The TOEFL test comprises four sections: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. All four sections have a score range of 0-30, and the total score of all four sections is equal to the Overall Score.It is an Internet-based test available in Home-based and Test-Centre-based versions. The format of the exam is the same in both versions. When compared to IELTS and PTE, it is the shortest test of all and is widely accepted. Here is the module-wise bifurcation of the TOEFL test.

The TOEFL test score is valid for 2 years from the date of the test appointment. You can download the test score report from your Official TOEFL account after 4-8 days of the test appointment.
Once you submit the test appointment, it will take 4-8 working days to get your result, irrespective of the test mode - Home Edition or Test Centre. You can also purchase an Express Score service at an additional fee of USD 100. With this service, you will get the result within 24 Hours.
Score Reporting
With each TOEFL test appointment, you can send test scores to a maximum of 4 Universities or Agencies for FREE. You must choose the free universities at least one day in advance, by 10 PM. Afterwards, the charge per Institution/Agency will be USD 25, and it will take four working days to send the scores once you place an order on the TOEFL website.
