The Business of Esports specialization will introduce students to the world of esports through the business management and development lens. The Business of Esports Specialization will provide students with the knowledge to pursue professional careers in the growing esports industry expected to cross USD $1.6 billion in revenue by 2024. It is expected that the number of online streamers of online games will rise to one billion in 2025, which is equal to one in nine people.
The Business of Esports graduates will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with The Business of Esports Specialization. The 10 course (30 credit) specialization, provides those interested in working and managing the business side of esports an opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and abilities they will need to be successful in this industry.
The Business of Esports Specialization will provide students with current courses relevant to the needs of the esports industry. Algoma University students will have contact with, and access to, subject matter experts who have real-world relevant experience and networking opportunities that will enhance their careers.
