Douglas College’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing offers a combination of work experience with local businesses, hands-on skills with industry-specific software and the flexibility to enter the degree from multiple touchpoints. Whether having just graduated high school, are currently attending Douglas or already having some education at another post-secondary institution — students will be able to start, continue and finish their degree at Douglas College.
In their first two years, students will take core business and marketing courses that will give them a full picture of what a career in the marketing industry looks like. Students will get to take courses in marketing research, promotional strategy, management essentials, buyer behaviour and more. In final two years, students will choose an area of concentration. Douglas is the only post-secondary institution in Western Canada to offer not only a Digital Marketing concentration, but the flexibility to choose from four undergraduate degree concentrations. Students will specialize their education with options in: Digital Marketing Communications Management, Hospitality Marketing, Professional Selling and Sales Management, and Trades Marketing.
Depending on the chosen concentration, students can receive a variety of industry certifications that will grant them a level of trust, leadership, interpersonal skill and strategic management needed to achieve better opportunities in the business world.
