Maintaining, nurturing and protecting the environment is a global priority. As a result, understanding the environment and providing innovative solutions using new and emerging technologies has never been more important. Students will take the first step toward an in-demand, respected and vital career helping the planet with Fanshawe College's Environmental Technology program.
Over three years of environmental training and 12 to 16 months of paid co-op placement, students will study and gain experience in environmental processes that provides foundational knowledge of air, water and waste management issues. The environmental course curriculum includes bacteriology, analytical chemistry, air pollution meteorology, water quality management, industrial hygiene and hydrogeology. This environmental program emphasizes measurement and analysis techniques as well as legislation for air, water and waste.
The theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience using state-of-the-art instrumentation, combined with real work applications, will give students a competitive edge upon graduation with their environmental diploma.
