The MSc in Diplomacy, Politics and Trade focusses on the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to operate professionally across cultures as well as time zones.
This interdisciplinary Diplomacy, Politics and Trade MSc program connects the worlds of business, politics and diplomacy. All business is conducted in environments shaped by political decisions taken at national and/or international levels. Students will learn how diplomatic negotiations between states (eg the US and China) lead to trade deals that set standards and regulate the supply chain. They will study the consequences of political choices (such as Brexit) for domestic and international business operations. They will step into the shoes of negotiators, diplomats and lobbyists to solve problems encountered in the real world, studying the consequences of political choices for all kinds of trade, and exploring political responses to crises such as Covid-19.
At Loughborough University London, students will study in an environment that puts business and enterprise at the heart of its curriculum. They will meet professionals who will share their practical experience (and secrets) with them and they will emerge as professionals with the competitive skills to enhance their career prospects wherever they are in the world, and whatever their business ambitions. Surrounded by businesses of all shapes and sizes, and connected to key political and diplomatic decision-makers, the London campus provides students with opportunities to connect with real-world problems and collaborate with the people who are addressing them. Lecturers are passionate and experienced experts in their field, and are networked with the people who can bring the subject matter of this degree to life for students' academic and professional benefit.
