Graduates assist teachers and students in both instructional and non-instructional tasks. This program will train students in a wide range of interpersonal and practical skills needed for such work.
Graduates of the Educational Assistant program will be confident and skilled paraprofessionals able to work efficiently and effectively in an inclusive educational setting. They will demonstrate knowledge, skills, and strategies related to providing numeracy, literacy, social, and behavioural supports to students. In addition, Educational Assistant students will develop interpersonal skills including the ability to appropriately, effectively, and professionally engage with students and the educational team.
