The Business Administration – Marketing program prepares students for an exciting career in marketing, advertising, promotion or sales. Through collaborative assignments, hands-on applications, case analyses and industry projects, students will develop a strong marketing skillset. When students graduate, they will have first-hand knowledge of various marketing concepts, including analysis, planning, selling, report writing, graphics, presentations, social media and promotion. Marketers are the heart of business, working in tandem with many areas of their companies. Students will learn about those areas during a foundational first year, studying topics such as accounting, finance, human resources and communications. Understanding a company’s strategies and challenges will help students write better marketing plans and recommend actions to keep their organization competitive. All marketing students at Sheridan will have the chance to earn a professional certificate from the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA). If students complete five core courses that align with the CPSA Competency Framework, they will be eligible to apply for the Professional Sales Certificate from the CPSA.
