Criminology at University of Gloucestershire at Francis Close Hall

Using University of Gloucestershire's strong links with a wide range of bodies, students will be offered opportunities to collaborate on live projects with both public sector organisations such as police forces, and third sector community groups and organisations active in crime prevention and reduction initiatives such as providing support and training around domestic homicide, stalking and sexual violence.

Develop valuable skills by engaging with tasks such as Rapid Evidence Assessment, or analysing historical case file materials on sexual offences. Students can also participate in the work of Gloucestershire Homicide Research Group and Sexual Violence Research Group--these work with charities, victims, families and the police to conduct research that will make a difference to policy and practice.

The course is suitable for students wishing to extend their knowledge gained in an undergraduate degree in criminology or other social science discipline, with an emphasis on practical application of their knowledge in ways that could prepare them for careers in relevant organisations.
