University of Gloucestershire MSc in Financial Technology (FinTech) brings together the current knowledge and skills of FinTech industry professionals as well as academics to provide a comprehensive programme with cutting edge and latest technologies. The programme takes an integrated approach to keep students well-informed in the fields of both finance and technology in a transdisciplinary fashion.
The individual modules focus on answering the technical questions of what technological capabilities could achieve within the field of finance, acknowledging the robustness and speed at which these technologies evolve.
Students will have an opportunity to visit Canary Wharf in East London, the financial hub of the world, to interact with financial technologist to witness the rapidity at which financial technologies are evolving. Students will also be able to tour the London Stock Exchange (LSE) to develop further understanding on how financial engineering impacted the financial markets. One of the important visits would be to the Bank of England (BOE), wherein students will be able to interact with BOE staff to understand the role financial regulations (Regtech) play in the fast-paced FinTech industry.
