Electronic Engineering at Bangor University at Main

The degree in Electronic Engineering enables students to contribute to the future development of electronic products and services. This course reflects Bangor University’s highly regarded research activity at the leading edge of electronic engineering. The University has close links with local and national technology companies, with potential for work placements, research and development opportunities and collaborative projects.

This Master's degree will provide relevant, up-to-date skills that enhance the engineering competency of its graduates and allows a broader knowledge of electronic engineering to be acquired by studying important emerging technologies, such as optoelectronics, bioelectronics, polymer electronics and micromachining.

The MSc Electronic Engineering course is intended for graduates in a related discipline, who wish to enhance and specialize their skills in several emerging technologies.

Graduates of this course will have skills and knowledge in the techniques and ideas of modern electronic systems, with a particular emphasis on the influence of nanotechnology on their design. They'll also have developed scientific and engineering skills specific to their particular module choices, from the design of multi-million gate digital circuits to modelling communication systems and optoelectronic devices which are of immediate applicability in technical industries.
