Students can combine their love of the outdoors with employable skills from Lakeland’s Applied Environmental Sciences major.
Students now have 2 options:
Students will start by learning a wide range of environmental concepts related to water, soil and plants. They will start in the classroom, but they will be in outdoor labs within their first month.
The training is fun, hands-on and useful. Students will apply and practice what they have learned using real-life situations. These are the same skills they will use throughout their career; skills that employers will notice. They include:
When students graduate, they will be ready for environmental jobs across Canada.
Students will also have choices. They start with selecting 2nd year electives based on each student's interests and goals.
Then, they can stay another year to earn a 2nd major for their diploma. Or, transition to Lakeland College's applied degree program.
