Middlesex University's strong links within the industry and professional bodies mean that this course is highly regarded and well respected internationally.
For students with appropriate experience, the programme will help generate greater understanding of their subject and become a competent practitioner who is able to influence health, safety and environmental improvement in the workplace. For those new to OH&S and working in organisations, it prepares students for appropriate entry level roles. Students will develop legal, technical and scientific knowledge to enable them to recognise, assess, and problem solve risks. Students will gain insight into health and safety in a variety of industries including agriculture, construction, transport, and manufacturing, and will be able to develop an organisation's safety and environmental policy, respond to accidents and improve their negotiation, advocacy, management, leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
