The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) program offers a curriculum based on theoretical foundations and practical applications. The program is designed to provide advanced study in mechanical engineering for students with a substantial background in the discipline. Four-quarter students, registered for four courses per quarter, can complete the program in sixteen months. The program also accommodates eight-quarters students. New students can enter the program in any quarter.
The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program was developed by the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Industry Advisory Board. The program is a blend of a purely technical degree and a management-focused degree. The program is designed to be attractive to professionals who are looking to move into technical management positions and need advanced training to achieve their career goals, as well as to the new graduates with bachelor’s degrees. The MSME program is designed to accommodate full-time students as well as working professionals, offering evening-only class options to accommodate full-time workers.
