This program is designed for people who like to motivate others to live a healthier lifestyle, who care about supporting people in their health and wellness journey, and want a rewarding career in health and wellbeing.
In this program, students will learn about both the physical and mental aspects of healthy living and develop knowledge and strategies to support people’s well-being. Students will be taught the basics of sport and fitness psychology and how to apply basic exercise science principles (anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics) to develop their own fitness training programs.
Students will gain knowledge to create safe and effective fitness assessments and training programs customized to the needs, goals, and developmental paths of each unique client. Students will also learn about nutrition theory to best support their clients on their lifelong path to health and wellness.
To ensure success in the industry, students will develop the business acumen and essential skills to manage and grow programs and membership. Students will learn how to meet the demands of their target audience by learning about marketing, sales, and digital facilitation skills. Finally, students will also develop the soft skills needed to understand, motivate and support their clients on their wellness journey.
