This University of Gloucestershire conversion programme is designed for graduates in any area who wish to pursue a career in professional psychology. Completing this programme will qualify students for entry to further training, in specialisms such as forensic, clinical and sports psychology. Whether students have studied psychology but didn’t gain accreditation with the British Psychological Society (BPS), or are looking to change career paths after studying another subject, this programme is suitable for them.
Converting a degree to a new subject area can be a considerable challenge. Gloucestershire's philosophy on this course is to build on the student's existing graduate skills and attributes, and to focus on addressing their individual needs. Participants on this course value the close and supportive relationship between staff and students, achieved via face-to-face interaction in the classroom and laboratory, and meetings with their personal tutor. Students will also find that the other graduates in the cohort provide an important source of social support as they all undergo this intensive learning experience together.
Taught by a team of psychologists who are committed to offering an excellent student experience, this course features a strong applied approach which draws upon the experiences and insight of all participants.
