Students can learn to design, build and promote websites using best-practice techniques in this wide-ranging Master’s in Web Design and Content Planning. This MA Web Design and Content Planning focuses on the technical, functional and aesthetic approaches to website design. Students will learn about industry best practice for mark-up, compliance, user experience, information architecture, content strategy, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO). This allows them to create and manage websites that provide a good user experience. The skills from this course are ideal for a growing field with fantastic opportunities.
Learners will be taught by renowned industry experts working in front-end design and development and user experience design. The University of Greenwich's team provides the perfect balance of technical, aesthetic and academic expertise that allows them to provide a centered and unbiased approach to web design education.
Teaching is carried out through a combination of lectures, seminars and workshops. Students should expect 2-3 days a week of independent learning depending on their prior experience. Outside of timetabled sessions, learners are also expected to dedicate time to independent study. Every module will involve further reading and research. They may also be expected to spend time preparing for classwork such as presentations and group discussions, and for assessed coursework and examinations.
All students on creative courses at the School of Design get free access to Adobe Creative Cloud and LinkedIn Learning. Each year the University runs a second and third-year graduate show where the degree students showcase their best work.
