The Accounting degree at the University of Guelph will help students develop a solid foundation of accounting and business.
Students can achieve a highly respected professional designation and a successful career in business and accounting, with courses preparing them to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) of Ontario. The accounting courses they complete are accredited by CPA.
Students will complement their accounting focus with a secondary area of discipline such as leadership, data analytics, business sustainability, marketing, international business, or human resources management.
The co-op option develops students' professional and leadership abilities through relevant work experience outside of the classroom. They can even choose to complete a project-based assignment or an individual study for course credit.
The University of Guelph's Accounting co-op provides 16 months of experience and is designed to facilitate the transition of students from academic studies to a professional career by enhancing the integration of theory and practice in real-world scenarios, sharpening their technical, analytical, evaluative and communication skills.
