How and where people want to work is changing. Organizations need to quickly respond to external factors. Whether they are routed in Government policies, environmental issues, or changes in society. The world is complex, and the challenges faced by organizations need an innovative approach.
Central to this MA Human Resource Management with Placement Year (Global) course are the themes of how to manage change and personnel development. Human resource (HR) practitioners need to think in radical ways to manage diverse attitudes and motivations of people entering the labour market. They need to find solutions to critical issues. These practitioners work across departments to promote inclusive and productive environments, enabling the employee and organization to thrive.
The intrinsic link between HRM, an organization's strategic and operational requirements, and the impact on society, can be powerful. This Master's course will give students the tools they need to improve a range of issues, from global and national equality to climate change. New ways of thinking about work and the role organizations play in the world is crucial. This course will guide learners to become a critical, inspiring leader of the future, starting today. They'll be able to immediately apply the learning to their workplace.
Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a 30-week work placement. This will provide useful work experience and an opportunity to develop real world experience. They also have the chance to attend school networking events to interact with the University's business partners. Besides classroom teaching, there are individual and group work learning opportunities, one-to-one sessions, workshops, study trips, guest speakers and live projects or case studies.
The MA Human Resource Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) approved centre.
