Develop core competencies which sit at the heart of sport marketing and benefit from gaining an applied industry insight into the dynamic global sport marketplace.
Students will develop a sound theoretical and applied understanding of the subject area during your taught programme. The MSc Strategic Sport Marketing has been designed to enable them to work independently and collaboratively through a range of workshops, debates, reflective tasks and authentic assessments. Building on your industry expertise, this will ensure students are developing the core capabilities in a range of sport market contexts whilst developing valuable skills in communication, problem-solving and strategic decision making thus benefiting their work place opportunities.
Practical activities such as creating marketing communication plans, digital marketing campaigns, carrying out brand audits and consumer experience evaluations will enable students to develop their expertise and become a confident marketing practitioner.
These modules will cover a wide range of topics such as strategic sport marketing, sponsorship, branding, consumer insight, media and digital marketing. Students will drive the focus of their independent project by choosing to complete an in-depth written dissertation, a business plan, or a consultancy project that will see their work with an organisation in industry. This will enable students to develop their expertise in responding strategically to the changing global sport landscape.
