This is a potential research degree area, subject to the approval of the University. If students are interested in undertaking a research degree in this area, they will have to make contact with the Dean to discuss their proposal.
Within the broad areas of business management, there are multiple themes available to study an MSc by Research, MPhil or PhD. These could be in functional areas such as human resource management, finance, operations and strategic development or in specific themes such as sustainable business, data analytics for decision making, international management, leadership and digital transformation.
Topics could be formed to investigate management at an organisational, regional and/or national level, as well as in private, public or third sector organisations. The subject area is broad with a wide variety of projects available e.g. public/private partnerships, labour migration, and consumer behaviour.
Students may adopt a variety of methodological approaches, both quantitative and qualitative, as part of their research. Study in this area helps develop many of the core competencies required by organisations
