The Master’s Accelerator Program is a two-semester program exclusively offered to aspirational international students. Master’s Accelerator students benefit from comprehensive support and language for discipline-specific purposes. The curriculum will include advanced writing, public speaking, and research instruction. Each course is designed to help ensure success at Auburn. The small class sizes, hands-on and interactive programs, and unique curriculum are designed to help students progress seamlessly into their master’s degree program. Master’s Accelerator students will be enrolled as full-time students during both semesters of the Master’s Accelerator Program and will earn 9 credits toward their selected degree.
Biosystems engineers ensure that populations have the necessities of life: safe and plentiful food to eat, pure water to drink, clean fuel and energy sources, and a safe, healthy environment in which to live. Biosystems Engineers at Auburn apply engineering to problems and opportunities presented by living things and the natural environment. There are approximately 155 undergraduate students and 30 graduate students in Biosystems Engineering at Auburn. Their well-rounded engineering experiences received at Auburn enable them to function exceptionally well on the multidisciplinary teams in today's workforce.
Graduate study in the department of Biosystems Engineering leads to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree. At the graduate level, students can specialize in the following: Bioenergy and Bioproducts, Precision Agriculture and Forestry, Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering, Ecological Engineering, or Food and Process Engineering.
