Master of Applied Mathematics at Auburn University at Main

The Direct Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students with an advanced level of English language proficiency, but who also want the academic, cultural, and professional support to thrive in their graduate program at Auburn. Students will earn a semester’s worth of credits toward their graduate degree, as well as benefit from additional professional and research courses tailored to their needs as international students.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics (DMS) has over 50 professors representing diverse areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. Many of the faculty in the department have obtained international recognition for their research. Graduate and upperclassman courses usually have 5 to 15 students, meaning they are able to offer students personal attention and close contact with faculty. Auburn University's program in Applied Mathematics gives students a strong foundation in one of several fundamental areas of applied mathematics. It is a flexible degree with courses, some of which may be relevant courses offered by other departments, being chosen in conjunction with the advisory committee.
