Students can become skilled in motive power by training with industry-standard tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifts. They will learn to operate, diagnose and service all types of vehicles, from standard automobiles to industrial heavy-duty equipment, and have the opportunity to work on the latest technology by way of vehicle donations. Students will perform actual service procedures on a wide variety of components found in the power train of heavy vehicles, install and set up clutches, and tear down and assess the condition of manual transmissions.
