Hearing Instrument Practitioner at Douglas College at Coquitlam

Douglas College's Hearing Instrument Practitioner Diploma is a great choice for those who are passionate about helping people, drawn to health care and love to work with equipment and technology. In this two-year program — the only one of its kind in B.C. — students will acquire the skills and training to help improve quality of life for people with hearing loss. They will learn how to test people’s hearing, dispense and program hearing aids, and counsel patients on managing ongoing hearing loss. Plus:

  • Get hands-on experience working with industry professionals during three supervised practicums.
  • Study in new, state-of-the-art classrooms and labs.
  • Gain the knowledge and training to challenge the provincial licensing exams for Hearing Instrument Practitioners once you graduate.
