One of the most important questions to ask about a home is how safe will people be if a fire breaks out? After completing the Fire Safety Systems certificate program, students can be the person to ensure that others are properly protected in the event of a fire.
As a fire alarm technician student, they will be given training in the skills required to perform a variety of technical functions including the assessing and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler problems. They will learn the ins and outs of the codes, legislations, and standards that protect homeowners in the fire safety course. Additionally, students will be provided with hands-on experience and fire safety training to make sure that homeowners have fire detection devices that are properly installed. The Applied Fire Safety Practices course will give them an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learned in a workplace environment.
