Students can prepare to work in a modern office by learning skills from greeting customers to building databases. Students will be ready to get ahead in a small or large company. In less than a year, they will have a solid foundation in business basics. This includes bookkeeping, office procedures, workplace writing and computer applications such as spreadsheets. Business basics in the 21st century also requires social media marketing skills. Students will learn about specific social media platforms, as well as how to use them in a marketing plan. This course is one of two online in the program. Students will put what they have learned to work in a 3-week practicum.
