Arts Management at Lancaster University at Main

This degree is designed to develop the core skills and knowledge often required by managers in the arts and cultural sector. The department aims to enable students to develop an understanding of the environment within which cultural and creative organisations operate and identify the issues that influence them.

In the second term students will conduct a creative industries research project with fellow students. Through a brief agreed with a supervisor, students will have the opportunity to carry out a piece of research focusing on a particular issue relating to the sector or an issue relating to a particular organisation.  Through planning, delivering and reflecting on the project, students will have the opportunity to explore environmental factors influencing creative arts organisations, whist developing skills in interpersonal working, negotiation and team working.
