In 1970, Langara College opened its 49th Avenue campus and invited the community to make the College their first choice for accessible, quality education. Five decades later, Langara College is recognized as a leading undergraduate institution with a reputation for providing exceptional learning opportunities. Through the collective contributions of its outstanding faculty and staff, its programs and services continue to grow and innovate to meet the changing needs of the community. Located in beautiful Vancouver, B.C., Canada Langara College provides University, Career, and Continuing Studies education to more than 23,000 students annually. With more than 1,700 courses and 130 programs. Langara's expansive academic breadth and depth allows students of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages to choose their own educational path. Langara is also known as 'house of teachings', a name given to it by the Musqueam people on whose unceded traditional territory the College is located. 

Langara is a public post-secondary college recognized as one of Canada's top university transfer institutions. They offer university, career, post-degree, and ESL programs that put their students on a path to success.

  • Facilities: Langara's Learning Commons is on the first floor of the Library, featuring an expanded and enhanced work and study space, technology-enhanced tables to enable sharing of content on mobile devices such as laptops, a flexible tutoring space (Writing Centre and subject peer tutoring), and a streamlined library service point.
