In this program, students will gain an in-depth understanding of plant physiology, soil fertility, crop production and integrated pest management, setting the stage for a better understanding of successful crop production. Students will go on to learn about the effects of topography and crop nutrient variability and to understand challenges like weeds, pests and water availability. Bringing all these aspects together creates a complex production system that can only be navigated successfully using precision agriculture and data management.
