Nuclear Engineering at Ontario Tech University at North Oshawa

This program introduces students all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle, from mining to plant operation to waste management. The curriculum includes courses in nuclear plant design, radiation protection, nuclear chemistry and materials, heat transport, steam-generation systems, and nuclear physics. Students will learn about the current operational fleet of reactors, and apply their growing knowledge to the future generations of reactors (e.g. supercritical‑water reactors, fast reactors and fusion reactors). This program is fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). The programs are designed in consultation with key industry representatives, and will provide you with the necessary theoretical and applied skills to meet employers' needs.
