Sault College, located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario opened it's doors in 1965 as an Ontario Vocational Centre and evolved into one of Ontario's early community colleges, becoming the independent Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1973. Sault College has grown tremendously over the years, adding programs in all disciplines. They now respond to the post-secondary educational needs of more than 2,600 part-time and full-time students each year. The vision of Sault College is to make society a better place by providing a transformative life experience through empowering those who study with them to think and learn in progressive, innovative ways, including those one has not yet imagined.
Whatever a student's educational goals, Sault College is dedicated to satisfying their learning needs. In February 2020, Sault College was ranked Number One in overall Quality of Learning Experience and in Overall Quality of Facilities, and was ranked Number Two in Overall Quality of the Services. With enthusiastic staff, small class sizes and a student-to-faculty ratio lower than the provincial average, Sault College students learn in a supportive environment.
