Student Development Administration at Seattle University at Main

More than ever, reflective and social-justice minded professionals are needed in post-secondary institutions and other educational environments throughout the United States and globally. With their high placement rate, graduates of this program go on to jobs such as academic advisor, student activities advisor, international student advisor and community engagement program manager. These leaders represent, advocate for and work with students, develop leadership programs and implement activities that enhance college students’ academic experience.

If a student has a passion for working with college students beyond the classroom and advancing social justice, Seattle University’s Master's Degree in Student Development Administration is designed with them in mind. They offer a modern practitioner-based curriculum that provides strong theory-to-application training within a supportive community of students, alumni, and seasoned professionals who will become colleagues for life.

Students in the Student Development Administration (SDA) Masters program have the option of two degree programs: the Master of Arts (MA) or the Master of Education (MEd). Both degrees require 51 credits for graduation. The Master of Arts option allows students to take three credits of electives in addition to completing an independent graduate project. The Master of Education option allows students to take six credits of electives. The graduate project is not required with the Master of Education option.
