The Sheridan Advanced College Diploma in Business Administration - Marketing experience extends beyond the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and student-run organizations such as the Marketing Association, Business Council and Sheridan Student Union. Students can also join other business students in Enactus and Toastmasters clubs, and they will have the opportunity to represent the college at events such as the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC).
The third-year electives of this program include business innovation, content marketing, leadership development, search engine marketing, entrepreneurship, sales account management and more. Electives are constantly updated to reflect industry demands.
Experiential learning is at the core of Sheridan's Business Administration – Marketing advanced diploma. Students will work with their peers on various activities, case studies and projects, including development of a marketing plan for a real-world industry client. Students can also gain additional experience through an optional co-op placement, which may lead to employment opportunities after graduation.
After graduation, students will have earned 15 credits towards a Sheridan Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing Management) degree — which students can complete part-time while they work. They can also apply for a Professional Sales Certificate from the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) if they have completed five core courses that align with the CPSA’s Competency Framework.
