The College Diploma in Business Human Resources allows students to acquire the core skills necessary to work in the exciting field of human resources! Firstly, students will build a strong base of general business knowledge that helps them understand the many ways human resources contribute to organizational success. Students will then focus on fundamental HR specialities, including talent recruitment, health and safety, performance management and more.
Sheridan is well-known and recognized across the industry as a leader in human resources education. Their HR diploma co-ordinator serves on the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) board of directors, and their professors bring decades of experience into the classroom. They’ll guide students through a unique blend of theoretical studies and experiential learning opportunities.
When students graduate, they will have completed more than half of the coursework necessary to pursue the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from the HRPA. Students can also complete their remaining four courses part-time while working or by transferring directly into the third year of Sheridan's Business Administration – Human Resources advanced diploma program.
Students will have the opportunity to attend various industry network events throughout the program. Sheridan also has an extremely active Human Resources Student Association that participates in numerous case competitions, workshops and social events each year.
