Virtually every organization and field of study relies on computers in order to succeed in today’s hyper-digital age. As an Information Systems joint major, students will look for better ways to accomplish tasks using computing technologies, exploring how the world processes, manages, and communicates information. Over the course of the degree, students will develop a unique understanding of technical subjects such as databases, networks, data visualization, and telecommunications, as well as non-technical matters such as ethics, law, and digital culture.
In this popular Media Studies program, students navigate and engage with the theory, principles and practice that shape people's ever-changing media landscape. In Media Studies, students will examine the influence of advertising and ideology, the political economy of media corporations, the foundations of media arts, and the ecological impact of media technologies.
Students will gain hands-on experience through the Business Administration placement program, internships. They will build professional business skills while delving into the diverse knowledge across disciplinary boundaries in programs and disciplines. Students will benefit from joining a community affiliated with the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management and Education.
