MA Graphic Design at UCA Epsom has been structured to promote the role of designers as skilled professional communicators, and firmly embed a culture of research and problem solving into creative practice.
Producing outcomes from informed and independent research is a top priority on this MA. Alongside this, at UCA they help students to master their own unique area of graphic design through a series of lectures, workshops, tutorials, live pitches and presentations, supported by UCA's wide range of facilities and old and new technologies.
Students will explore different applications of visual language, and how it relates to their area of specialism. Students will enhance their understanding of the aesthetic and commercial value of their work, and accrue professional experience which will add innovation to their practice.
With extensive industry links brought by the course staff, students will also have the chance to foster connections with industry partners within their area of specialism. UCA is proud to boast connections with a range of organisations including the BBC, FutureBrand, GF Smith and Typocircle.
Through visiting lecturers, networking with industry experts and live briefs, students will gain current experience of the design industry, with an emphasis on how to present both themselves and their design work in a professional arena.
