In addition to your masters degree, you will also have the opportunity to take the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. The NCTJ diploma is a widely recognised entry-level qualification for professional practice.
Sports media is a multi-billion pound industry and has played a crucial role in shaping the development of professional sport. Sports journalists must now be as adept at running social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter, filming web video and recording podcasts as covering sports events and interviewing at press conferences. The course is delivered by media industry professionals and respected academics. Our student journalism website, Overtime Online, will enable you to publish articles to a wider audience and you will spend time in a newsroom environment on placement.
