The MA in Educational Leadership is designed for leaders or aspiring leaders in all areas of education. The course will develop students' professional knowledge in relation to their current context by building on the significant experience and expertise which they will bring with them to the course.
The philosophy of learning links to professional practice, theories of leadership and work-based enquiry for improvement. Most importantly, it acknowledges work undertaken in the workplace.
On this course, students will:
Students can enter the course by making a claim for previous learning through the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) process and then undertake modules for the remainder of the course, taking into account their setting and individual needs.
On successful completion of the MA in Educational Leadership, students will also gain a CMI award in Strategic Leadership.
