This course focuses on applied and computational Mathematics, which is the team’s research specialism and a skill set highly valued by employers. During the course students will have the opportunity to develop both subject-specific skills (applicable in, for example, the biosciences, finance sector and engineering) and key transferable skills (including IT, problem solving, and written and oral communication).
Students will have the opportunity to work on projects directly linked to the programme team’s own research, which includes work of both a theoretical and practical nature. They will also have access to specialist mathematics computing facilities and a well-stocked library, including electronic resources.
