This route of entry is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For the MSc version of this course, students will complete a dissertation on a topic of their choosing. University of Dundee's aim is to help students develop into a compassionate and knowledgeable registered adult nurse, ready to take on the exciting challenge of working in any modern healthcare environment.
Nurses work as part of a team alongside doctors, therapists, pharmacists, and healthcare assistants. Students will work with patients and their families supporting them through challenging situations. They will spend 50% of their time learning on campus and the other 50% on placements in hospitals and community settings. The placements help them develop the hands-on skills needed to work in healthcare.
Students will attend workshops and interactive sessions at the Clinical Skills Centre, in Ninewells Medical School. They will build confidence by participating in acted patient scenarios which take place in Dundee's state of the art simulated hospital ward
