This University of Dundee course combines studio art with masters level modules in the humanities, such as philosophy, English or film studies. It embraces all forms of fine art practice, traditional and contemporary, and will enable students to work across traditionally defined boundaries imposed by many fine art and humanities programmes.

Students can individually tailor a part of their study and choose to complete the course with either an exhibition of creative work or a major written dissertation as their final project.
The course encourages both creative and academic research and you will be encouraged to read critically and analytically, and to develop your abilities in critical, contextual, and theoretical thinking. You will develop your understanding of research methods relevant to fine art and humanities research-based practices.
